Yang Guoxu, Gansu:
Gratitude as Deep as Parental Love

In 2019, I successfully gained admission to Changchun Institute of Technology, an achievement that left me overjoyed and at a loss for words. When the school year began, my parents were visibly worried because they hadn't managed to gather enough tuition money. Following an uncle's suggestion, we applied for a student loan, which allowed us all to breathe a sigh of relief. However, the high cost of living expenses for university remained a concern. Thankfully, I received financial support from the Care Action Macao, which secured my living expenses during university.

My parents have always advised me to study hard and achieve good results, emphasizing not to let down the Macao Loving Care Foundation's generosity. Following their guidance, I have been diligent in my studies, fully aware of the autonomy required in university learning. I have actively engaged in both foundational and specialized courses. Over the years, My average credits in the university are 85.31 points, ranking third in my class. I have won the National Inspirational Scholarship twice, earned the title of Study Model, and achieved excellent results in various academic competitions. Additionally, I have participated in numerous activities and competitions to broaden my knowledge and hone my skills.

Due to my father's inability to work following a car accident, my family was in dire need of assistance. The Care Action Macao Education Fund has supported both my brother, Yang Zhenxu, and me, providing not only financial aid but also emotional support and courage that words cannot describe. The country's support and the Care Action Macao Education Fund's help have alleviated my worries, reduced my family's economic burden, and provided me with the opportunity to study. The annual scholarship has been a lifesaver, giving me hope and allowing me to focus fully on my studies without worrying about living expenses, thereby broadening my path forward.

I will never forget the long-term support and encouragement from the uncles and aunts of the Care Action Macao Education Fund. I will strive to study even harder and impose stricter self-discipline by adhering to the following self-imposed rules:

      1. Strictly adhering to school rules and regulations, attending every class, and ensuring punctuality.
      2. Embracing labor and consciously protecting the environment to contribute to the beautification of the campus.
      3. Maintaining a thrifty and simple lifestyle, avoiding comparisons with others.
      4. Actively participating in social welfare activities, enjoying helping others, and giving back to my alma mater, society, and country.
      5. Using my knowledge and skills to repay my country and contribute to its prosperity.

Care Action Macao for their care and support for impoverished students like me. I will strive to make my life as colorful as a rainbow and repay your kindness, which is as profound as parental love, through my actions.
