Since 2007, Care Action Macao has been working with students in Huining Mountain area in Gansu Province and Panyu in Guangdong Province. Since then, the members have visited students and villagers in many remote and barren areas in China. They have deeply realized that their generation of poor and poor environment is extremely difficult to support their children's education, and it is almost impossible to go to university. We believe that knowledge can change our destiny, and adhering to the philosophy of "helping the poor first by helping the wise", President John Lo initiated and established the "Care Action Macao Education Fund" in early 2011 to assist students with financial difficulties to study until they complete their university courses. In addition to giving the students a chance and hope to help them change their fate with knowledge, break the poverty of generations, and create a better future!

For a long time, priority has been given to orphans, those suffering from poverty and illness, and single parent families, with living allowances as incentives to reduce the financial burden, and a commitment to subsidize students until graduation. Later, there are also students who work hard and successfully strive for admission to higher institutions such as master's and doctor's degree. The Association will also allow the student's circumstances, changes in family environment, work intention and physical condition to decide on financial support for some students who continue to study.

After years of hard work, 3,228 students have benefited from the program. Of those who completed higher education, 477 have gone on to earn a bachelor's degree, with 93 earning a master's degree and one completing a doctorate. After graduation, these students have brought several times more income to their families and greatly improved their living conditions.
